Overview

DesignPlus is a Canvas authoring tool designed to enhance the course-building process. It streamlines the course creation process with a suite of user-friendly tools that enrich both functionality and aesthetics. Building with DesignPlus allows you to access a range of features such as customizable templates, integrated multimedia options, interactive accordions/tabs, an accessibility checker and much more! These tools enable instructors to create visually appealing, intuitive, and well-organized course content with ease. By providing a user-friendly interface and efficient design options, DesignPlus helps educators save time, ensure content is accessible to all learners, and deliver a more engaging and effective learning experience for their students.

The DesignPlus Accessibility Checker is a powerful tool that audits course content so that it’s accessible to all learners. It scans for potential accessibility issues, such as insufficient color contrast, missing alt text, or improper heading structures, and provides easy-to-follow suggestions for improvement. Having accessible content is crucial as it ensures that all students can access, navigate, and understand the course’s material. This inclusivity not only complies with legal standards but also fosters a more equitable and supportive learning environment, enhancing overall student engagement and success.
